What is E-ZBorrow?

Available to current Chatham students, faculty, and staff, E-ZBorrow is a quick way to get a book that is checked out or not owned by the JKM Library. E-ZBorrow allows simultaneous searching of over 50 academic library catalogs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia. If you need a book that is not available here at the Jennie King Mellon Library, request it directly through E-ZBorrow.


What can I request through E-ZBorrow?

  • Use E-ZBorrow to request PRINT BOOKS.  
  • We are unable to borrow or loan e-books through E-ZBorrow or ILLiad at this time.

Can't find what you need in E-ZBorrow?

Use ILLiad to request journal articles, DVDs, CDs, dissertations, government documents, and books that are not available through E-ZBorrow. Click here to find out more about ILLiad


Where do I find my 6-digit ID number?

It's printed on the front of your Chatham ID card. If your ID number is only 5 digits, add a 0 (zero) to the beginning (e.g., 12345 becomes 012345).


How quickly will my books arrive?

E-ZBorrow books arrive between 2 - 5 business days. 


How do I know my E-ZBorrow book is available for pick-up? 

You will receive 2 separate emails for each book requested through E-ZBorrow.

  • The first email (from "support@relais") is an automatic confirmation that arrives shortly after you submit the initial request.
  • The second email (from "circadm@library.chatham.edu") will notify you that your book is ready for pick-up OR that your request is unable to be filled. If your book request is unable to be filled through E-ZBorrow, then you should submit a book request through ILLiad.

Make sure to check your Chatham email for all E-ZBorrow and JKM Library correspondence!


Where do I pick it up?

Pick up and return your E-ZBorrow books at the JKM Library Circulation Desk. You have 2 weeks to pick up your E-ZBorrow book once it arrives. If you do not pick it up within that time, we will ship it back to the lending library.


How long can I keep my E-ZBorrow book?

E-ZBorrow books are available for 12 weeks from the date you pick it up.

Go to MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT and login.

I'm a distance student and don't have an ID card. How do I sign-in?

  1. Log into my.chatham.edu.
  2. Look for your name in orange in the top right hand corner of the dark gray band at the top of the screen (ex: Hi Jennie).
  3. Click on your name and you will see all of your student information, including your Chatham ID number.

I still can't locate my Chatham ID number. What should I do?

  1. Call the Reference Desk at (412) 365-1670
