The Jennie King Mellon Library serves the information needs of Chatham University faculty whether on ground or online. Navigate through the tabs above to learn how the library can help you and your students.

Library Hours

Sunday: Noon - Midnight

Monday - Thursday: 7:45am - Midnight

Friday: 7:45am - 7:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am - 7:00pm

 

Library Staff

The library employs six full time librarians, one technical services assistant, five part time reference associates, and many student workers. The staff directory will direct you to the library liaison for your program.

Access Library Materials

  • The JKM Library defines distance students as any student who does not regulary attend class on Chatham's Shadyside, Eastside, or Eden Hall locations.
  • To access the library's electronic resources from off campus, you will need to login with your Chatham username and password. The login screen will appear prior to entering the database or other electronic resource. 
    [IMPORTANT NOTE: Leave the "CHATHAM\" in the username box and type your username in the space after it.]
  • Currently, books are not loaned from the JKM Collection or via Interlibrary Loan to Distance students.  To borrow books, contact your local library.
